I gotta say, I was back and forth between a Yukon, a Tahoe LTZ and the Denali. After looking around, driving and the You Tube vids...They are right. GM hit it out of the park with this 6.2 engine. It makes the drive so much more fun. it seems to work flawlessly and I'm getting about the same gas mileage I was getting with my Avalanche with the 5.3. Now if I can rid myself of the 40 mph shudders I would be happy.

He's referring to the AFM. Place the shifter in manual mode. I have also heard tow mode eliminates AFM.
There is a thread in here in which a manufacturer is developing a module that removes the AFM.

And yes, the 6.2l is great. Will light the tires up with just a touch of throttle.

I feel that as well, but I also feel a "shudder" when hitting a ridge in the road. It almost feels similar to what you get in a pickup truck when the back body flex's when you hit a bump. My 13 Avalanche LTZ rode better I'm sorry to say....4 new tires and road force balance 2X and within spec. I wonder if the 22" wheels are too much unsprung weight on the suspension....

It's hard to explain, but around 40-50 it's alsm

What wheelbase and options on your vehicle?

I wonder that as well so I'm hesitant to swap to 22"s because it rides so quiet and nice right now. No issues on our short wheel base Denali.

Honestly I would not switch to 22's for anything other than looks. I'm sure they handle a bit better. But without a doubt the ride will suffer. For me it is a trade off I am willing to accept.

I have 1700 miles on mine in 3 weeks and the"shudders" happen i find around 1200-1300rpm alot of times... thought it was trans but AFM...tow haul does eliminate the issue but fuel economy will suffer..i hope a fix comes out soon from GM

The only permanent fix would be replacing the DOD cam.
It appears it is worse on some more than others. If, and when, mine becomes intolerable I will buy the module being sold in here that eliminates the AFM.
Most of my driving is stop and go, so my gas mileage will not be that largely affected.

I don't see GM doing anything about this. I can see the roof being an issue with the noise it creates with the vibration. To me it is not eliminating what is vibrating. It is eliminating what is causing the vibration.

Yup...short version Denali. Seems I'm not alone. After 1500 miles on it I'm either getting used to it or it's getting better....
