Is there a correlation of 6.2L and those particular chrome wheels?

What wheels? I saw stock 20" LTZ wheels in chrome and polished aluminum and the stock 18" 4WD wheels when I browsed those links. Although, some of those had stock photos of Tahoes that weren't of the actual one for sale.

Guess I'm wrong. They just looked different than the usual 5 spoke 20's I see (like in your sig pic).

Now that I look closer maybe they are the same...

Those were a 2009 optional wheel.

I found a 2008 Tahoe with the L92 the other day for sale. Didn't someone post an ad for a '08 Suburban with a 6.2 within the last couple of months? I seem to remember a picture even but for the life of me cannot find it.

From what I understand, late 08 Tahoe LTZ had the L92 6.2 option but only with 2WD. Then 09 Tahoe LTZ had the L9H and available in both 2WD and 4WD, then no more 6.2 Tahoe's for 2010 till 2018.

The 07-09 1500 Suburban and Avalanche LTZ had the L76 6.0 option with 4L70 in 07 - 08, then the 6L80 in 09. The 6.0 L76 1500 Suburban and Avalanche were discontinued for 2010. The 2500 Subruban had the LY6 6.0 which is more of a truck engine.

Did the '08 6.2 2WD Tahoe have the 4- or 6-speed trans?

6 speed. As far as I know, no version of the 6.2 was mated to a 4 speed.

This really tempts me to shop around for a 6.2 Tahoe. I swear, I'd be satisfied with the 5.3 if I just had those two extra gears. There are too many instances in my driving where I'm right in that dead spot where it can't downshift (would be too high of RPM) so it just lugs.

I have since located several 2WD 6.2 Tahoes. Two from 2008 and one 2009. I also discovered that Janesville also made them when I originally thought they were limited to Arlington.

All of the '08 2WD ones located thus far were Janesville builds.

2008 2WD 6.2 Tahoe (L92 Motor) = 1GNFC138
2009 2WD 6.2 Tahoe (L9H motor) = 1GNFC332
2009 4WD 6.2 Tahoe (L9H motor) = 1GNFK332

All 51 identified have been LTZs.
