From painful experience I can tell you that anything from Jet is best used as a paperweight or doorstop. Just spend a few minutes on Google. By themselves, their "chips" and other junk are notorious for causing over rich conditions, and also, may not play well with the Superchip tune. My Tahoe (in 2WD), does 11-12 in town, and can hit 18 mpg on the freeway with BB tuning and intake mods and I'm turning heavy 22" CK798's.

Agreed...i wouldnt trust anything that a short google search bashes on every post...half of that stuff is there for a reason!

Heck...in the summer playing around i get about 15 w the blower! :leghump:

Slighly less in the winter!:biggun:

So i swapped the JET maf back to the stock maf pulled the bat cable for couple of minutes to reset everything and get worse mpg with the stock maf sensor.

I am completly floored here looking at your guys numbers.

i have never gotten numbers better than a 8.5 city.

truck has 59k.

how many miles have you driven it with the stock MAF?...id drive it a few tanks...

what kind of temps are outside? are you hot rodding it?

If your stock MAF is in good shape...by process of elimination, it will lead to a bad tune (thats if everything else is in great shape)...maybe the tune is adjusted to work together with the JET maf...

I have done a full tank just city driving and 8.5 is my best. i use the truck to moove my family around the city, i do not commute with the truck.

i run only 93, most times with marvel mystery oil added... it keeps the shakes away.

That's about what I get if I do a full tank just in city driving.

i think worst gas mileage i have gotten thru the city is around 11.5...thats the heavy food GF driving it...with the small blower pulley and touchy LS7 TB...

with the bigger pulley i get around 13...

I guess all you guys need blowers!!!!:Good or Bad:

i got the jet maf sensor for free for some work i did for someone. i definitly did not run more than a tank on the stock maf sensor.

i will run it some more before i wash my hands to it.

i instaled the jet sensor when i installed the cai, which was after the superchip tune.

truck shift like crap city driving without the superchip tune, cant imagine giving it up unless i upgrade from it.

i live in new york its hot then its cold then its a hurricane. weather is unpredictable.

17 HWY 14 city w/ BB & premium. I had a Superchips Vivid & it sucked! Way too hard shifting and not much else. Go with BB!

My guess is it's running too rich. My truck was very rich stock and very thirsty. The MAF is just that, an air flow sensor. If nothing changes between the Jet MAF and stock, ditch the tune and see how it runs, or get an actual sniff of the exhaust to check A/F. I'm still betting it's too rich and it could be the tune, or O2 sensors, or? You have no CEL and no codes right? If nothing is broken, invest in different tuning. Even bone stock and brand new (read: VERY tight), mine wasn't that bad. The first BB tuning I had was worth at least 2 mpg, and now with a "max power eff the mileage" tune, I probably couldn't get numbers that low if I tried. They also tune the trans completely separately from the motor. Good luck.

Been in my 09 esky for about 4 weeks now and the mpg are pretty decent in my book. Carrying 12-13 city and 17-18 hwy and my hwy miles are all at a good clip almost always. This is unmolested / no mods.
