Wonder why there's a wait for the 6.2?

Having owned both 5.3/6.2 powered trucks, the 6.2 is a rocketship when running on premium fuel.
The 5.3 is perfectly adequate however.
My next rig will be a 5.3
I had a 5.3 in my 2005 Suburban and it never occurred to me that a 6.2 would be a good thing till I got a 2015 Denali. so I had a bug to get a 6.2 with air suspension. I test drove a very low mileage 2021 Tahoe that looked exactly like mine but had the 5.3 and standard suspension. It was really nice and perfectly adequate for 98 percent of driving. Cheaper too. I might love the air suspension even more than the 6.2. Trying to figure out how to make it bounce. Lol

Over in pickup land, the GMC website shows me 14,280 2023 Sierras within 2000 miles, 2477 of which have the 6.2. Also GMC shows 2653 short Yukons, 663 with the 6.2, and 1497 long Yukons, 332 with the 6.2. Chevy shows 2825 more 6.2s across Silverado, Tahoe, and Suburban.

I've been watching the Silverado inventory very closely (I have an order in for a 6.2L Silverado) and have seen the number of pickups with the 6.2 double in the last week or so, which tells me the constraint is easing.

AT4's in any other color besides black, white, and gray are really hard to find... I was extremely fortunate to get mine out of state when I did. Even now, Denali's out-number AT4's 9-to-1 on availability... I've been checking AT4 availability on a weekly basis since I took delivery of mine back in March, and inventory has been steadily decreasing in the last few months.

Yeah, the 2022 inventory is dwindling, I see 280 short Yukons and only 13 AT4s. I wonder how many more 2022s are still waiting for chips in Midlothian?

2023 is better though. 2624 short Yukons, 362 AT4s (But only one 6.2L among those AT4s! Yikes!)

I searched the GMC inventory today and found a handful of XL AT4s with the 6.2L. The constraints might be easing up!
