6.6 Gas L8T Engine Swap in 2015 Suburban

It's a 6.2 with the 10l80. I just didn't know how integrated the transmission portion was in the tune and if whatever transmission I had mattered. I'm planning on keeping the 6.6 stock as it's the family grocery getter/tow vehicle. Wish I could get away with just the pushrod (ordered one before I scoped the lifter just in case) but no dice.

Total bummer.......

On my 2017 6.2L with the 8 speed, I can change anything I want on the engine side. Yours should be the same I would assume. In my opinion, it would be $600 well spent. The new transmissions require getting unlocked via HP Tuners somehow - not sure if the 10 speed is cracked yet or not. You can also go to HP Tuners website and see what is supported on your model year as well.

@L8T BURB - would you mind DMing me who you worked with on your tune? Looking at doing the same to my '19 Yukon with a 10l80e and had some questions

@chevman88 The shop that did my swap had HP tuners, but the tuner was definitely in over his head with fine tuning this setup and doing everything I wanted. I found Big Dog Tuning on HP Tuners forum and got into contact with the owner, Kevin Winstead. Awesome guy and is an encyclopedia of knowledge in the General Motors world and has done numerous 6.6 swaps. He had us log a run and sent him the data log. He would revise and send it back for us to load. We would log another run, send him the data, etc. He did roughly 4 or 5 revisions to fully dial everything in.
