wth are you talking about? lol that truck will get 10 in the cty and 15 on the hwy. and if you drive it hard you can drop it another couple mpg's easy. my TBSS only had a 6.0 in it, weighed 4600lbs and was 2wd and only got 12.5 avg. on the hwy at 70 it would get 19mpg if it was driven mildly. sometimes you guys crack me up.. My yukon denali with an economy tune only gets 18mpg on the hwy and if i am crusing at 75-80 it can drop to below 16mpg. fuel economy is in direct relation to cu inches outside of a direct injection engine.

Yea, I seen that too... it would be lucky to get 10/15. The TBSS I had was about the same as the Denali I have now mileage wise.

If an engine is built properly, supercharged or otherwise, the probability of it getting better mileage than a stock or computer tuned engine is more than likely. Think about it .......... a properly built & tuned engine is going to be as efficient as possible whereas every bit of power is being used and not wasted. Just because the engine is 'bigger" means nothing more than just that. A built 6.0 could get better mileage than a stock 5.3.

Fit the same engine with an equally equipped transmission and there's no doubt that it too will be much more efficient regarding the power train transfer.

It's the same with any type of vehicle. I have an '08 TT BMW that factory tuned is capable of 26 MPG at best. After upgrading the turbos, exhaust, FMIC, intake, CATS and a Dinan tune. End result being the fact that the rwhp increased from 263 to 431. Also, mileage increased from 26mpg to 33mpg.

More efficient engine equals better mileage and more power ........ ask any mechanic who has some common sense and he'll tell you the same.

Keep your foot out of it if you can.

agree. I went form 3.42 gears to 4.11's, you'd think it would get less mileage, actually increased....

Yup, notice I said my buddie has a VETTE.
going by that, I estimated what I "THought" it might get based on the power lvl and weight of that vehical.
The sheer torque that a built 427 has will EASILY move that SUV around.
Less pedel = More MPG.
BTW my 6.0 in my Yukon Denali gets 28highway, 18 city. So what ever your doing is bad.
Considering mines got a BS intake, magnaflow muffler and a bullydog pos tune, I know I can get even more out of it with millage mods.

To quote you again, "fuel economy is in direct relation to cu inches outside of a direct injection engine" Yess and NO, its more related to the Efficiency of the ENTIRE package. A high torque motor Tuned correctly will out MPG your Stock motor ANYDAY.

Maybe you should look to your tune and the combination of mods you have, if you have any.
The worst thing ppl do to their rides, is mis-matching components and then bitching how its not right, Power or MPG.

BTW, You crack me up ,thinking based on what Your vehical does Everyone's must be the same.
