what up guys!! As some of you guys know my truck was recently stolen . Im debating on keeping the truck but if i do im going UP and staying away from another set of 26s. When i first got my truck i was torn between lowering it or raising it cuz lets face it they look good either way. So enough of the back story heres the question!

Looking for a 7"-9" lift. I've read nothing but good things about FTS 7"basic kit. Looks like a lot of people are combining it with the bilsteins adj 7-9 shocks. I havent read any bad things with this combo so i am leaning in this direction. I also found McGaughys 7" lift kit also. I wasnt able to find to many people running this kit. The McGaughys kit is about 1k cheaper then the FTS so i want to get any input on McGaughys before i eliminating that option? I've also read a BUNCH of good things on the BDS lift kit as well....

My truck is 2wd and honestly not going to be doing any serious offroading since its not a 4wd. Probably mess in mud a little bit but nothing crazy.. i know lame with a lifted truck :lewx4: Its going to be my daily so im looking for the most comfortable option.. thank !!!

BDS is a good company , Wasn't even aware that McGaughys made a lift kit , As for FTS Ive heard up and down reviews seems like their lift designs work better or worse with different models as most lift companies do .

If it were me I would go with BDS

You did not mention what size wheel/tire you will be going with?
Your Tahoe being a 2wd, the biggest I would go is 35s on 20s, which a 6" loft can clean if the backspacing is right.
Any bigger and ish will have a high premature failure rate and gas mileage will go out the window.
BTW, just because it will be lifted does not mean thieves will target it any less.

The mc kit is what id get n i would get military 36s to have the aggresive tire for cheap or get 35s on 18s. 20s are too big...

If you are going to do 18s, you might as well get 33s.
Anything smaller than 20s on these SUVs (stock, lowered, or lifted) just gives the "strapped for cash" look if it is not going on an SUV that "looks" like it is meant for specific functions (like first response, government, or specialty vehicles).

Ive seen 18s on nnbs and they fit it well. 33s have nothing to do with 18s and a 7in lift. Thatd just be retarted also 18s are more budget freindly when buying tires

I agree with the 7 inches of lift and 33s part but I do believe 20s on these trucks wrapped in 35s look best with 35s
