Well of course he would not run that big of a lift on 33s.
If 35s on 20s is so much of a $$ difference he might as well save up. The price difference between the two tires would not be more than $50 a tire.

Gzes, stop getting butt hurt.
You can look through that whole thread and see that 20 on 35s is far more common than 18s on 35s. Most people with 18s have 33s.
Plus, considering the OP had 26s, I am pretty sure he does like big wheels.

No ones butt burt foo also check your facts 18s go for around $1000 on ebay and for 20s they start at 1200 as the cheapest set i found on there. Also you contradicted yourself. You where the one who said to run 33s on an 18 then act like you never said it or meant it lowered and lifted are 2 cpmplety different things so the 26s have nothing to do but in you mind he should just get 35s for the 26s or donk it....

SW CT,
being that it is 2wd and won't see much more than a muddy field why not go 35's on 22's? with a 6-7" lift it will look badass!

What are you talking about?
I did not contradict myself, I was simply opposing your idea of 18s/35s and saying 20/35s is better. I was also saying that 35s would be his best bet IF he wanted 18" wheels. And read my post well, I meant the price difference of a 35" tire that takes a 20" wheel, as compared to a 35" tire that takes a 18" wheel, would be around $50. I never mentioned anything about the price related to the actual wheel, just the tire.
I also never "acted" like I did not say anything. I only mentioned 33s because I said that would be his best bet for 18s, but I recommend 20s on 35s.
Then you go on to say "35s for the 26s." Where did you get that from?
And yes you are butthurt because you just posted without even trying to understand what I am talking about because you took it so personal. Lowered and lifted are two different things, but he has a 2wd truck Gzes. He could have got 22s or 24s on his lowered setup, but he chose 26s. That shows he likes bigger wheels regardless of which suspension route he went, so I highly doubt he would want 18s.
Also, there is nothing that he can do with 18s on 35s that he can't do with 20s/35s, after all, he did mention that it is pretty much going to be a pavement pounder.
Weight difference between the two favors the 20s/35s setup better. That is a plus considering he has a 2wd with 1500 front/rear suspension parts.

You did not mention what size wheel/tire you will be going with?
Your Tahoe being a 2wd, the biggest I would go is 35s on 20s, which a 6" loft can clean if the backspacing is right.
Any bigger and ish will have a high premature failure rate and gas mileage will go out the window.
BTW, just because it will be lifted does not mean thieves will target it any less.

Sorry for not putting up what tires i wanted. The tires/wheel set up i was looking at was actually 37s on 20s... Its probably not a popular choice to go so big especially being 2wd but after doing a little bit of research i think it just looks MUCH better. I know it is going to involve new gears and like neo mentioned maybe premature failure but im assuming if you are running good angels that wouldnt be to much of a problem ..Am i missing something that i should be aware of. i know it will be hard to fit them on the nnbs but i dont mind doing some trimming if it doesnt require trimming the metal

Yes Neo i know that it wont prevent thieves from targeting my truck again but my thought maybe stupid it will be harder to steal just because if they are going to cut wires to the alarm they would have a hard time looking inside the hood.. again maybe the stupidest idea :rotflmao:

sorry for using your pics without permission just found them online :happy160:

Im assuming he fit 37s on just a 8" lift because he is running a aftermarket front bumper

yukon1_zpsb3d6224d.gif
10" lift on 37s with 20s

BTW IM A COMPLETE NOOB WITH LIFTS... so if im just being a huge retard feel free to let me know i wont be offended lol :chewie: all my previous cars have been lowered

Both of those lifted tahoe looks good.
The Tahoe was only able to clear 37s that wide with 8" of lift because it has that front bumper.
The white Yukon only cleared the 37s because it has narrow tires, which look weird on a tire that tall.
To clear wide 38s like the first one you posted, you would need a lift like the 12" Bulletproof or FTS systems. If you got an aftermarket bumper like the black one, you can clear with a 9" lift. The 8" Tahoe looks like the rear is so stuffed that it would rub when the suspension is in trying conditions.

12" is higher then i wanted to go the max would be a 10".... So if i want to go wide with a lets say 8 or 9" lift im pretty much stuck with 35s?

---------- Post added at 12:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 PM ----------

the reason i didnt want to go 10+ because i thought the price of the kit would go up i just found this for a little bit cheaper the the fts i was going to go with any thoughts

http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/p...12&right_select_make=1&right_select_model=313

Is 10+ lift unrealistic as far as a daily driver lets say if gas is not a issue (which doesnt mean thats not playing a factor but other then that)
