I mean, I'm sure it's terrible but I'd like to hear anyone with real world experience with a Suburban or Yukon XL with the 8.1 who keeps track of MPG.

There's a low mile 2500 in my favorite color (green) on local CL but it's got the 8.1. My trailer's only 2000lb so it's not like I need a 500 CI motor, but I just wanted to get some idea of what kind of hit I'd take vs. a 1500 with a 5.3 or a 2500 with a 6.0.

Thanks in advance!

Ah, looks like it's gone from CL anyway. Not surprising: an 03 2500 with 120k on it, 4x4 with the 8.1 and they wanted $7,000 for it. A great buy, but not great for me.

Looking at an 04 1500 with 136k on it now.
