96 Tahoe, 2 Door Slider?

Hi! I'm brand new and i just got my 1996 Tahoe 2 door 4x4 like 2 weeks ago. It runs strong but obviously has some problems. (Just Looks nothing major) And my biggest question and i can not find anything on it is the driver seat, It has the exact same handle to slide it to let people in the back but it doesn't slide? it just tilts forward no sliding, is this normal or just me and if it is just me how can it be fixed? also i want to change the center console but like i have no idea what to do any suggestions?

The power driver seats on my 98 Tahoe and truck tilt forward but do not slide forward very much (if at all) compared to the easy-entry feature on the passenger side.

Your description sounds normal.

Its like the old k5's passenger side front seat used to actually tilt up for entry into rear

It might have something to do with NTSB that this seat doesn’t go forward like the passenger seat
