I need to replace my cats and was wondering if the pipes from a 95 tahoe would fit under the truck? i can get a great deal on a system if this works.

i know that the pipes are different in the way of dual cats in the 96 and single in the 95, but will they bolt to the manifolds? i think the rest could be sorted out underneath and would be single pipe instead of dual.

if anyone can help that would be great.

Why don't you just get everything by itself. It's gonna be cheaper and you can make it custom. That's what I'm gonna do. Run long tubes then the rest

No it will not.
Not saying you need to do this, however you can get the pipes from the manifold down to the flange behind the cat for $310 from summit with free shipping. Just ordered this one for mine a few weeks ago, got a $40 rebate too, that's done now.
Cheapest cat I see (listed for yours is $9x for an individual cat, no pipe)
Little bit more money, but you get a lot more.

Have not put mine on and will not for awhile, bought because it was cheaper in town, I avoided shipping (you still can) and I got $40 back. (still waiting on the $40 though)

i understand all the, its easier to get the standard pipes for 96 and all of the legal issues.

i want to know if the 95 cats will bolt to the 96 manifolds. i think that it should since the manifolds should not have changed. the rest of the system will need to be tweeked and i am fine with that.

Considering 95 is tbi and 96 is vortec doubt it. You got a welder to nuts I can make it fit but wouldn't use a cat anyways so... Yea

95 should be a single pipe, 96 is a dual pipe.
Even so you need to make sure the cat is the same.
I understand trying to not spend a lot of money. If that is what you would like to do, why not try getting a set from junk yard?
