I've got a 96 Tahoe and every since I've had it it has been getting hard to start. I got it the first of this year so I'm not sure on the maintenance. Other than a fuel pump getting weak is there anything else that could cause this? Other than this the truck is perfect. It seem to be a little easier if you turn the key on and wait a couple seconds to actually start it.

Just out of curiosity where is the Schraeder valve on the fuel system located to place the fitting for the fp gauge? Always just wanted to check my fp for the hell of it to see what I am pushing...

unknown at this time.
There are two metal lines coming up the rear of engine just left of center. they come up and forward to the fuel body. Between the fuel body and rear of block on biggest line there is a shrader valve with a black cap on it.

i had a similar hard starting problem on my 96 and it turned out to be the battery getting weak. the gauge showed fine, but it was a bad battery i replaced it with a new one and problem gone
