you'll have to do a mail order tune as the "In Person" tune has no better benefits for the 96's like it does for the following years.

ya everyone does seem to have that. but dont i have to send in my trucks computer? i cant really do that because its my daily driver and i dont exactly have a spare computer laying arround

You can buy a second computer from BlackBear for ~$60. They will send the second computer already flashed with the tune. Then you can keep driving your truck until the flash arrives and you make arrangments to get the crank sensor relearn done.

you can do a scan cable tune (see link below and click on the questions) and either ship them your computer or they will ship you a new one with the tune already loaded on it. swap them out and preform the crank relearn with the cable. done.

if you use the scan cable to do the tune you can do the crank relearn with it and a laptop.

anyone know how much is it usually to get a dealer to do it for you? i don't really have the extra money to pay for the security deposit on the cable and wait for the refund
