97 tahoe seat options

so regarding my other post probably going to keep my 97 and spend some more money on it. one of ticket items for my wife is the front driver side has a rip in the leather. ive mentioned coverking on another post based on its supposed to match your seat perfectly without losing any of its function. obviously these higher end seat covers are well beyond the cheapies you get from the local discount parts stores. regardless of brand (coverking, rixxu,...) how hard are these covers to get on.

Covers are held on by Velcro and hog rings not hard but easy to ruin old foam must use two hands to separate material from foam or Velcro will tear off with foam then your looking for replacement foam very expensive go to local bone yard find a junk seat tear in to it see what your up against

replacement foam is only 100 bucks

I’d replace the foam if you have that option. The replacement leather covers will not last as long if they are loose due to sagging or flattened foam.

I bought new foam when I replaced my leather, it definitely made it like new.

im actually not going leather but i have already decided to replace the foam or the whole seat before i put the new covers. if i come across some seats in better shape than mine ill just get those and cover them.
