yesterday, i went to the junkyard and found a bench seat out of a 2 door yukon and pulled it and put it in my yukon...not an exact fit but will work with very little modification...i will put up pictures later. Has anyone else done something like this? or is this a one off mod?

What exactly did your have to do to make it fit?

right now i don't have the truck, leakin oil out of all the spark plugs :( but all i did was keep the frame from the original seats in there, put the bench seat in and pulled the "handles" out to the outside of the frame and then lined up the hole with the hole on the frame and stuck a bolt in it for now...will get pictures when i get the truck back of how it's sitting in there now and after i find a way to bolt it down, it will take some customization to bolt it down but the seat isn't moving anywhere with the bolt through the two holes.

Did you replace the 2nd row, or did you install it as a third row? I was thinking of doing a third row because it'll fit in between the wheel wells.

i took the second row out...i got the truck about 3 months ago and so i'm just getting around to finding fixes for certain things that can get pricey quick, like this...the 60/40 split seat that i had...was missing the middle back, it was grinded off and the dealership wanted 343 for just the frame no cushion...and yukons aren't that common in junkyards around here, so had to get what i could that would work...i have one picture i took the night i put it in that i will post, but the truck is still in the shop...using it as a 3rd row seat would require some modification to bolt it down but it actually is a really good idea!

got the truck back today...got some pics of the backseat, unfortunately this back seat will have to be set on the back burner as I have a knocking engine....so I will post the pics but as for modifying it to fit and work like it's supposed to, that will be way later....
