98/99 steering wheel fit in a 97?

I prefer the 98/99 steering wheel over the 97... possible to swap out?

now I'm really confused... pulled 3 VIN's from eBay (1997, 1998, 1999) called multiple chevy parts dealers and some said yes some said no! :? (obvi i would get the matching airbag for the wheel)

If the module/airbag matches up, then I would say yes. Otherwise you could have a catastrophic failure of the airbag if you were to get into an accident and the module from your old airbag doesn't work with new steering wheel and airbag.

yes, after watching some video's seems like the newer wheel will bolt up... but not sure if the yellow airbag connector from the steering column will connect to the the newer airbag.
