My 98 4 door tahoe was parked for about 3 months while I was away and when I returned it had a dead battery. I replaced the battery and returned the next morning to find the battery able to crank just a bit but not enough to turn the motor over. I took out the battery charged it and returned it to the truck. when I connected the battery I heard the doors lock. So I checked for a parasidic drain and could not find anything. so I went back and disconnected the battery and reconnected it and found that when I connect power to the truck the doors lock. Even if they are already locked I still hear the acuators trying to lock the doors even though the doors are already locked. Every time I thouch the positive battery cable to the battery terminal it does this. I can unlock it with the key and get in but the switches on the door no longer work to lock it when I get out. Further more I noticed that the windows are not working either. nothing will roll down.
I checked all of the fuses and their all good. Has anyone had this problem?
I cannot find whats causing the doors to consistantly have power to the door locks to lock them anytime the battery is connected.
Could something have shorted by the truck just sitting there? unlikely I know...
Location of relays?...
help please!...
thanks in advance
