98 Yukon- Carpet replacement

Good day all!


So, I'm restoring the Yukon to it's former glory.

Two things I've never done:

Rip up all the carpet and put down a rubber mat. Do they make a 'kit' for our OBS models? Is there something I can buy after I rip up the carpet and just place down?

Two: Replace the AC Compressor. I'm assuming this isn't a garage type thing- I dont have any ac equipment. Do most take it to a garage for that kinda thing?

On a side note: The wife saw a pic of Donnie' Yukon and said "I WANT THAT".

Looks like I need to get the plasti-dip kit out and some other things. That's a sweet ride.

Check this site for carpet kits. I used them to replace the entire carpet in my 2006 Tahoe. Plenty of colors to choose from, good prices and ships within one week. Good quality. As good if not better than OEM. I added the mass backing and did the plush cut.

I know lmc offered a full end to end rubber mat style like you mentioned for my 94 suburban it was supposedly molded to fit all the interior contours of the truck. If your still interested in that they also may offer something similar.

LMC had exactly what I needed. We have a newborn in the house, and soon to be in the truck. A poly mat floor is perfect. Thanks!

Order you vinyl floor from rock auto its cheap and does a great job goin on a year with no issues!
