99 chevy tahoe starter will only click

i have a 99 tahoe replace the starter about 2 weeks ago was out last night working fine went out today and went to start it i just get a clicking sound battery is good 12.8 v need help

bang on starter with hammer, lightly, see if it turns over...if not, replace positive lead from battery to starter.

+1 to the light smacking

Also, recheck and tighten your battery connections. The smaller nut on the starter always seems to come loose soon after installing a new starter.

took the starter out and had it test it it works a fews times then it will just click they to me the starter is no good
