99 Escalade Speedo just stopped working!

Speedo just wasn't working one day I noticed. So I tried changing out the cluster, as I had an extra one. Still no go! I even pulled the cluster from my 99 crew cab, and still not working. Then I remembered the scanner I have has live data. Connected it, and it reads a speed. So speed sensors working and computer is readng a speed! No check engine light either. Everything in all clusters work, including the tach except the speedo. I've checked all fuses, even swapped out a ignition switch. I'm puzzled!! I got a paypal donation to the person that can solve this one! Thanks guys!

Welcome and are the connectors that go from the wiring to the speedo cable broken or loose or dirty? Try switching the speedo harness?

post your email address and i will send you the diagnostic chart. but in a nut shell you have about 2-3 wires in which anyone is open or shorted between the cluster and pcm.

He already tried a replacement cluster...obviously not the issue
