i know i was getting p1345 and that was the original reason i changed the crankshaft position sensor

The P1345 commonly indicates that the distributor gear may be going too. How many miles does your truck have, and was it ever replaced that you know of? This may not be a problem at all anymore (especially if the code hasn't come back) but a worn gear could add even more timing in that situation, past the point at which the computer could correct electronically, and make your hard starting even worse.

So basically, you need that crank relearn :hands:
