99 suburban ebay towing mirrors

I just picked up a set of heated power mirrors and they arrived tonight and look like nice units. however unlike the standard replacements im used to , these came with some sort of brace / bracket that looks like it goes on one of the three bolts (one is like a stud of sorts). can anybody tell me the proper way to use this brace?

I installed a pair on my 99 Hoe. I will take a picture and post it for you as I have the bracket as well.
