99 Tahoe 2dr Basic 350 4x4, 181k/mi. Tahoe has been running very well, w/o trouble codes/lights. Suddenly no start, no dash lights, no headlights, but courtesy lights, door locks, hatch lock working. No fuel pump sound, no relay click under driver side engine compartment. All fuses intact. Lifted ground cable for a few minutes w/o change. Next I disconnected the ground cable for 30min w/o change. Although dash panel is dark, the single light for transmission position is working until key turns to start position. New Flagship One computer last year. Your thoughts/suggestions will be appreciated.

Remove and clean battery terminals and posts. Also clean the connection on the positive cable between the two layers. It can be disassembled as shown here.

Hoesgottaeat2.... Thank you! I almost dismissed your suggestion because I keep the terminals clean, but got to thinking some things like door locks are working normally and there are two terminals on the positive post. There was corrosion between the two terminals. All working again. I really appreciate you taking time to help me and this forum for all I've learned w/o posting questions. (-:

Those dang side post batteries will always get you eventually.

There are a few tutorial videos on YouTube on how to redo the bolts/posts, if you have the time to check them out.

Glad you got it all cleaned up and fixed!
