99 Tahoe Blower Motor Issue

Hello,

I have a 99 Tahoe, and the blower motor only blows on the high speed setting. I replaced the Blower Resistor and it didn't do the trick. It will still blow high even when the Blower Resistor is not hooked up.

What is a bit strange is that when the blower is off, I will have to push on the knob that controls the speed to get it to work (still only blows on high). Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

That probably means the fan switch itself is the culprit if pushing on the knob does something for it. If you find that only the high still work while only in big you have a wire loose somewhere or the hi speed relay is partially defective.

That was it - I replaced the fan blower switch and it works. Thanks again.
