99 Tahoe torque converter replacement

Hello everyone I have a 1999 Tahoe 4wd drive and I need some suggestions for a new torque converter. I have seen several from B&M and would like to keep it as close to stock as possible but also be a good quality part. Any suggestions would help I am a little nervous about using one from O'rileys or any other parts store due to quality so if anyone has used one I would appreciate knowing what you think.

Why are you replacing just the torque converter? Are you having transmission issues or just looking for performance gains?

I am replacing it because I had my motor pulled and the converter was sitting in the transmission while it was in storage and I guess someone decided to steal it.

damn that sucks? why just steal the converter?

Who knows I went to pick it up to get ready to put a new motor in it and looked under the hood and noticed it was gone. So now I have to find a good priced replacement to get it back on the road.

Go to your local transmission shop and get a rebuilt convertor if you want stock,Buy a circle-d if you want higher stall.

Another good option would be a TBSS convertor,they are a little higher stall than stock and designed for 4L60e....

was this storage not locked. sounds strange.

It was in an outside storage spot the gate had a code to get in but anyone who rented from them could have got to it.
