Hello gmc community, I'm new to this forum / posting asking questions online type bull but here it goes, I just recently obtained a 99 Denali and it had a few minor problems . The first was the power steering pump was leaking so it was running out of fluid , found it fixed it blah blah , but there is still an issue with the brakes on it . I'm going to obviously do a standard tune up fluids spark plugs and brakes. The one thing I'm having questions about is why do the brakes bounce when I press on them ? The vehicle also doesn't have its original rim size on it but I wouldn't think that would cause the issue...would it? If anyone has time to respond to this it would be much appreciated and I will be quick to respond with pictures and answers if needed . Thanks

unless modding or upgrading a system use only delco or delphi parts first of all. please describe the brake bounce you mentioned.

It's more or less as if there is like a flat spot on the brake pads or something, the faster you go the faster the bounce and vice versa when your stepping on the breaks. Also it feels as if it's coming from the front not the back

oh you probably have a film build up on the rotor. Have a shop turn you rotors and you should be fine. it happens some time if you over heat a rotor bad enough and hold the brake down continuously while overheated and not letting it cool down while rotating. that is what it sounds like you have.
