Hola, just got a 99 Yukon, nice truck, not so good mileage, my question is any knowledge on increasing mileage, new plugs... wires? put on a water vapor injection? or maybe even my HYDROGEN fuel cell made out of 6" well casing and SS plates. I need to remove door panel to get to lock mechanism, frozen up, also...... thanks from Burgaw, soon back HOME to El Salvador and I will most likely drive this vehicle only 3200 miles to Iztapa, Guatemala then 5 hrs to La Libertad

What kind of fuel mileage are you seeing?
I'm sure you have the 5.7 engine? Any modifications that you know of? Mine is heavily modified so I know I'm going to get crapy mileage but I had a 96 model and I think I got maybe 14 - 16 mpg on a good day.

im getting maybe 12 i will change plugs and new wires and coil pack,

Just driving around town (versus highway) 12-13 sounds about right. If you have larger tires than the stock size shown on the door jamb label, that will throw off the odometer and your calculation.

My fleet is pretty consistant at 14.5- 17.5 MPG. If yours is 2 MPG less, It needs Cap/rotor/wires/plugs.
