Hey guys, lately I've been having some trouble getting my truck to start. I'll turn the key all the way and then... nothing. Nothing at all, my lights and radio turns off and comes back on but thats it. No cranking or anything. I thought it might be some battery corrosion or something so I sanded my terminals and its not them. My battery is good and charged. After I try and try to start, it will eventually start. Sometimes it takes 2 shots and sometimes 20! This is getting annoying. What do you guys think it is, my starter or something?? Any help is appreciated!! Thanks fellas!

My money is on the starter. Next time it happens, climb underneath and knock it with a hammer. If it starts, thats your problem.

Yep sounds like the starter. Had the same problem with my previous Tahoe. Use to have to tap it with a tire iron to get it going. Had to do that for 3 weeks until I had time to change it.

same thing happened to me. until one day i pulled over on the side of the road for a few mins and this time it wouldnt crank no matter what i did. thankfully changing a starter isn't to bad and i had a spare one with me.
