Hey guys, what recommendation do you have on replacement bushings for the a-arms (don't know if I'm calling them the right thing even). My Yukon has about 190,000 miles on the originals and they are certainly worn and have alot of play in them.
Thanks for the replys.

Excellent. Thanks for the link! I was noticing that the OEM's are cracked and seem to move more than they probably should when you jack up one wheel off the ground, not to mention that the steering is pretty "spongy" even after replacing my steering parts. Isn't there a DIY write up in here somewhere on how to do these? Looks like a press needs to be involved in getting the old ones out and the new ones in?

A press is a good idea. There might be a write up in the tech section, can't say for sure

You don't need a press for the bushings. If you use poly you use the old shells, you can drill out or heat out the old ones and the new ones literally slip right in.

So, just disconnect the linkages and balljoints, drop the steering knuckle unbolt the A-arms then drill out the old material and slip the new polys back in? Basically?

Mine is 2wd so it was a lil easier. Don't disconnect the brake calipers if you don't have too ...

Yeah, I was thinking that if you disco'd the upper balljoint nut the top arm would pop up, then just unbolt it not needing to mess with the brake caliper. The lower looks like the shock and spring would have to come out in order to take tension off of things. After the two main bolts on the lower arm come out, does it slide forward off of the control arm (orwhatever that bar is called)?

I am wondering if what you are pointing out. Is it the necessary bushing or the procedures on how to replace bushing?
