I bought some freeon to charge my A/C system today. when I hooked it up it was only slightly low. But good new is I know I dont have a leak since it was in the green level. The problem is the A/C clutch is not kicking in. Im not sure if it just needs a new clutch or if the compressor is bad. I know its incredibly dangerouse, but im a risk taker, I spun the clutch with a screwdriver with the truck running and I can hear the compressor make noise like it normally would and the idle comes down slightly. I would assume that means its doing its job. The thing is...can I replace an A/C clutch on my own? or does it require taking to a mechanic with special pullers? Does it sound like just my clutch is in need of replacement?

Already tried switching relays and no change. i know there is some way to use a paperclip to bypass the relay and test to see if the clutch engages but im not sure how to do it.
