very easy have a shop evacuate the freon then i removed right front wheel liner and wheel (made the most room) take off main serpentine belt then remove ac belt unbolt lines then unbolt compressor. you should replace your ac drier and orifice tube. (this actually was the hardest part of the job because somehow sediment or something builds up on the inside of the line that the orifice tube sits in. the remedy after the orifice tube is removed probably with pliers and in multiple pieces, was to take a drill bit and ream- out the inside of the line to remove the sediment/burrs. new orifice tube will slide right in! maybe you wont encounter this problem.) obviously install is reverse! good luck!

When I did mine I didnt put a new filter on but flushed out all the tubes and condenser, filter buys short term security until it gets clogged with the gunk that you shoulda flushed out and then BAM! new compressor again.

So i've heard

**** not a new filter, but inline like you are talking about ****

TNTahoe - how did AC Compressor install work?

I am about to install my AC Compressor.

What tips do you have after completing your install?
I will be installing compressor, accumulator and new orifice tube.
