I have a question for you all, especially the guys with '05 and '06's with the OEM electric fans or the other guys that have had black bear tunes that installed electrics fans like I did!
I am curious, I put electric fans from an '05 in my '02 denali and they are controlled through the computer. The question I have for you all to see if this is normal at all is that when the A/C is off but I have the fan on at any level and either the blend door set to defrost or defrost/floor, the electric fans kick on and off on a pretty regular basis (probably 6 or so seconds at a time and probably 20 to 30 seconds between cycles), no matter if the truck is dead cold or up to operating temperature (coolant temp). As soon as I turn the blend door to the other settings other than the ones mentioned or also turn the fan speed off, the fans will turn off and stay off (the A/C side of the fans). I am positive that it's the A/C side of the electric fan setup because the fans operate how they should and don't allow the truck to overheat!
It's been doing this for a couple of months now but since its not my daily driver (it's my wifes), I keep forgetting that it's doing it and asking you guys what you think! Just trying to figure out why the computer is calling out for the A/C circuit to turn on all the time! Is there a part that has gone bad? Do you guys experience the same thing?
