A/C Noise

Thats what mine was doing a few weeks back, worked awesome but would make a god aweful noise at around 1000 to 1500 rpm range like a sprinkler and a chattering noise when it would flip out. Was able to duplicate it parked in the driveway while soneone stepped on the gas and saw it making the tensioner completely trip out ( changed out tensioner but that didn't make the noise go away. Ended up changing out the compressor and some other items and all is good now!

I noticed yesterday that the noise would start right at 1500 rpm. I stopped at the shop I use and a mechanic watched while I gave it gas - tensioner also going nuts. He said that might fix it so I got a new and removed the old one. It looked like crap - the metal casing was cracked and the spring visible - so I just knew that was what it was. Nope - still does it. Can I go w/ a reman compressor?

Yeah, I was hoping it was the tensioner as well that's why I tried that at first but it did no good! I don't see a problem with a reman compressor but I like brand new parts personally whenever I can!
