Has anyone installed power outlets in their truck? Right now I have a cheap portable inverter, but would like to do something more permanent/custom. I'm not sure I have the skill, but I'd like to use the small area on the back of the console that (currently) has audio controls for the DVD system and put a few plugs in it.

I've never done it, but I've seen kits to do it for construction trucks

I have a built in inverter already in my truck and have had a few plugs I bought a while back sitting in the garage ready to be installed for a couple years now! lol I need to get out there and finally do it.....but I'll just keep thinking about it!

X2. I put my inverter under the compartment of the second row seat. Hides away nicely there.
