A/c Problems

So I took the belt off and made sure the tensioner and compressor were both spinning by hand and they both were, is there any way the a/c could be causing more drag on the s.belt and causing it to slip for some reason? Or is there any way to tell if it is the compressor for sure?

I am also having trouble with my A/C, I have a good knowledge on cars and A/C is one thing i don't like to mess with.
