The 2019 Silverado has been officially reveled in a new Trail Boss trim. I wonder if this will help provide a look at what the next generation Tahoe will look like. While this version of the Silverado is clearly targeted to take on something like the RAM Rebel and comes standard with a 2" lift kit, I wonder if some of the body panels and headlight design will be used towards the 2020/2021 Tahoes? I'm sure we'll get some better looks at it in all the various trim levels and packages next month at the Detroit Auto Show.

Nice to see them starting off a re-design right away with blacked out pieces. I would hope they do the same with the Tahoe.

Vehicles that don’t have headlights really bother me. It’s just like the Jeep Cherokee I hate it, where are the headlights?? All I see are Christmas tree lights on the front! Ugly like the new F-150 and Toyota. Keep our American trucks American please!

If the Tundra and F-150 had a baby this would be it. I really dislike the look of the Tundra.
I was waiting and wanting to trade in my 15 Sierra for a 19 Silverado but after seeing this it's a no go for sure. Hopefully the 19 Sierra looks better otherwise I'll just get a leftover 18 next year.

The Sierra looks a lot better IMO but there are no official images other than some spy pics and artist renderings. Do an google image search and there are a few.

I wonder where they test drive them, this summer when i was out in vegas we drove to the grand canyon and on the way back off on the side of road there were 2 or 3 ‘cloaked’ all in that black leather stuff, pickups and i was gonna stop and turn around but it was a long ride there and on the way back everyone was getting touchy.... ok, i was.... everyone was annoying me and i was driving my inlaws gay toyota minivan .... didnt wanna be seen in it.... i think they were chevys because they like to play games and put a blacked out oval on the front to cover the chevy bowtie...oh well woulda been cool to take pics...

This is EXACTLY what I was thinking! Couldn't agree more! All the extreme angles on the headlights and taillights make it look import-ish.

There is only so much you can do with a 3 box design like a truck. More interestingly, at least to me, is are they going to equip this plateform with the cylinder deactivation down to 2 cylinder and/or are they going to offer a plug-in option, or even a diesel 3.0, like some of the spy photos suggest.
I would love a plug in as we use this like a minivan going back and forth to school, errands, and the occasional road trip.

It's OK but I don't think that is a good specimen. The multi-color effects obscure the lines and make it hard to see the details of the design. The truck might be very handsome, but that is an ugly-ass presentation. Looks like somebody got a gift certificate to Pep Boys for Christmas.
