I’m installing a used 2/3 McGaughys kit (spindles/rear springs) and some pedders shocks and struts on a 08 yukon non-autoride.. the kit is missing shock extenders, I was thinking I could go without them because of the aftermarket shocks, or am I wrong? Guess I’ll eyeball the shock angle once they’re on.. and what rear sway bar would be best with this setup? Hellwig?

Are the aftermarket shocks SHORTER? The angle shouldn't be the biggest factor, I don't think -- it's about the shocks having enough room (length) to operate properly. The extenders allow full (or most of the) shock travel to be retained. Without them or shorter shocks, the shocks will be compressed, and therefore won't work properly.

You do not need shock extenders with pedders shocks.
However I would return those shocks ASAP and get some bilsteins those pedders shocks are for a race track or something SUPER stiff!
