I just bought an 04 Yukon XL. It has the ABS light, and the brake light on. I went and had it scanned and came up with these codes:

P0719
P0856
P1689

From my research I found this info:

P0719 - Brake Switch Circuit Low Input

Possible causes Faulty Brake Switch Brake Switch harness is open or shorted Brake Switch circuit poor electrical connection
P0856 - Traction Control Input Signal, P0856 means the traction control input signal is not functioning properly, possibly due to a faulty ON/OFF switch or defective connectors.

P1689 - Traction Control Delivered Torque Output Circuit Conditions. GMC Description With the engine speed over 500 rpm, T/C system has failed, engine runtime 20 seconds and no Delivered Torque Output signal were received.

So where do I start? The truck seems to drive totally fine, and there is no check engine light, just the ABS and Brake lights are on.

kind of an old post pvmt however its typical for these codes to come up together when the abs wheel speed sensor goes out. if your having the same problems I would start there.
