ABS Issue?

Hi All, new here, just got a 2002 Tahoe LT with the 5.3L engine and only 65,000 miles - best part is it was a gift, my dad decided to get a new Silverado and gave his Tahoe to me and my wife as a spare/toy truck. When he gave it to me he mentioned that there was an issue where the ABS would randomly activate when breaking (on dry surfaces). I only experienced it once, and it's really not an issue, but thought if this was a common problem some guys here might know a fix. His mechanic told him unless it's happening all the time it's almost impossible to figure out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes the GM trucks in this series has the problem of ABS activation due to rust under the wheel speed sensor at the front, involves removing and cleaning.There are various threads on this problem on this site.
