A co-worker of mine has an 01' nbs Silverado v6 with 153k. Recently whenever he steps on the break the abs light will flash as long as he has his foot on it. A while back he said he could stop it by shutting off the truck and restarting it. But now it does it all the time. It doesn't drive any different. I connected my CodeKeyII to it but found no codes. I think it's an abs sensor, but what do you guys think?

I'm going to go with a sensor, sounds like either a pinched wire or just a bad sensor all together.

When the ABS light flashes, does he feel the ABS activate or is it just the light? If its just the light try checking the brake fluid level. If the ABS activates it could be a wheel speed sensor. All four wheels should have one each and if any of the values reported by those sensors are off, the truck thinks its going into a slide and the abs will activate. There are scan tools that can look at all four wheel sensors simultaneously and tell you exactly which one is off if thats the case.

He doesn't feel the abs activate, I'll tell him to check the level. The light comes on with the brake lights if that helps any.
