Hello all. I've recently started having a musty smell coming from my air vents. Did some research and found some solutions, some of which are pretty expensive. A few people suggested spraying Lysol in the intake for the AC which will kill the bacteria causing the smell. I want to try this first, but I have no clue where the intake is for the AC system. Can anybody tell me where this is? Or better yet have a pic? Truck is a 2004 Yukon Denali. Thanks in advance for the help!!

I had this same issue. I found after a trip to the car wash the passenger side carpet was damp. Still trying to figure out where the water leak is coming from. But Lysol has worked to keep the smell down and a rag after the car wash seems to keep the damp carpet drier than what is was before. I Lysol the passenger area floor every time I get it washed.

Your drain for the heater core and evap is more than likely plugged. so when you go to the car wash the water goes into the fresh air intake and has no where to go so it dumps on to your pass side carpet.

I haven't noticed any water coming inside, just that smell when I turn the fan or ac on. I just need to know where the air enters the ac system.

Pretty sure if your system is on recon its by the passengers feet, if the system is taking in fresh air it's the vents up in front of the windshield.
