AC Blows Hot not the belt

Sweating accumulator only tells so much. In your neck of the woods the dew point may be 65 degrees because of the high humidity. At that point at least you know there is Freon in it and the compressor is doing something.
Now take me in Phoenix today with 110 and dew point of 25 degrees at 5% humidity......a glass if ice cubes with water at 31 degrees won’t sweat a drop.
Need to know the pressures, high and low then go from there.

Here’s a charts but it all depends on temp, humidity and elevation. Now does your ac work temporarily and then quits? I wonder if you have a clearance issue as in the air gap between your clutch and coil is too great. When it heat up the metal expands and there’s too much of of an air gap for the coil to engage the clutch.

B0228 Recirculate position feedback circuit open and B0423 Temperature Control 2 Feedback Circuit Open are two codes I got tonight in the HVAC DTC list. All commands are within 3-4 counts of commanded and actual. So I will look these up. Anybody have any thoughts?

B0228 Recirculate position feedback circuit open and B0423 Temperature Control 2 Feedback Circuit Open are two codes I got tonight in the HVAC DTC list. All commands are within 3-4 counts of commanded and actual. So I will look these up. Anybody have any thoughts?

With each of those codes is a Symptom number, like 05 or 64. It's telling you why the code was thrown. Sometimes they get stuck, sometimes they short out. If they are within spec now, those would be history codes. With a good scan tool you can command a reset or relearn or forcibly move each individual one for testing.

If they are out of time with the commanded number, that will certainly mess up the air flow. Did you get the pressure readings and note the weather outside for Marc?

No I didn’t get those. I have a low pressure side gauge but not a high pressure one. I also didn’t see anything in the tech 2 regarding the pressures of the AC.

You can read pressure with a Tech2, at least my 2009 can. All GMT900s should be the same. If not, build yours as a 2009 and see if it shows up.

Yeah mines a 2009. I’ll have to see if I can find it. I’ll report back either way.

B0423 is for the passenger air temperature actuator.
B0433 is for the auxiliary air temperature actuator.
B3779 is for the mode actuator.
B3782 is for the auxiliary mode actuator.

Each of the above codes can have one of these three symptoms:

Symptom 61 - Circuit Actuator Stuck

I've been getting the first two codes with differing symptoms at differing times, using the Tech2 to force them back into position and to behave for a while. Basically kicking the can down the road until the weather cools!

Yes, it's near the passenger actuator and under the airbag, it is mounted on the side, facing the driver's side. Let me find a pic or diagram...
