AC Condenser or compressor?

So it's going to be $1200 from my local repair shop to do this.

$700 labor
$170 recharge
$330 parts

Is there a better way to fix this instead of replacing with the same OEM and failing every few years? I thought I saw they fixed this in 2017+. Can I use those parts, or will that make it a rediculous job?

I'm in the same boat. I had my original replaced in 2020, but the exact same issue is back. @BlackandChrome did you end up taking yours to the dealer or a different shop?

If you can do it yourself it isn't that terrible of a job. Autozone is where I got my AC condenser. Came with a warranty.
