AC Connector

For pre 96' trucks, are the connectors the same as the ones on the kits you'd get from wal-mart or auto zone or is there a special adapter.

I tried to use this on my 95 but it didn't snap on to the line the way it did on my other cars.

if it uses screw on shrader valves then that is a r-12 system and is not supposed to connected with r-134 stuff. Very bad idea. 1994 was the year that r-134a was implemented. Are you sure you were hooking up to the right port?
