AC Heat Actuator Blend Doors, 05 Tahoe, SOLVED

Only thing I can suggest: if the new Blend Door Actuator is off, do you have a multimeter you can check the contact points of the unit with, to ensure the circuits within are functioning properly?

Sounds like the new unit may be defective. You would need to access a circuit diagram on-line to see what pins control what features of the new BDoor Actuator. Or YouTube may have that information as well

Great question and something I left out of my detail above Rolexus. Once installed, I disconnected the battery for about 30 minutes (had to run to the store while it was disconnected) then reconnected everything, cranked it up, made sure the A/C control was off and drove around for about 10 minutes. Once I turned on the air, same as before... Heat out of the passenger side, cold out of driver side. Also, while I had the actuator off, I did cycle the blend door to make sure it wasn't broken or bound up. It moved very nicely from side to side.

Passenger temp is the one under the dash cover. I did mine fall 2020, it wasn't terrible but time consuming and lots of steps. No more heat on my passengers during midsummer in Texas!

On these pics, you can see where the actuator is to the bottom left of the center vent and the next pic is with it removed. On my phone and can't figure out how to circle it, but it's half under the gray tape of wires. Last pic is the old one removed.

Thanks Mattbta. Yep, I was changing out the incorrect actuator and through some research found out about the one you pictured above. Interestingly enough, I took it to our local shop who works on the Tahoe and they had replaced that actuator last year for the previous owner. He told me that it was still under warranty and replaced it for the price of labor. It ended up only costing $190 to replace the correct actuator and now everything is working correctly. Thanks for all of your help and glad its done now that the temperature is starting to creep up....
