Have you checked your schrader (service port) valves for leaks?

Yes, and they are not leaking. The system has held its pressure for a month now without a problem. Just cannot get it cold without driving.

This is how mine is also. However, I have not had a chance to inspect the system or replace parts as you have. I do know that my compressor sounds like it is dying (clutch drag), perhaps yours is dying like @SnowDrifter suggested.
