I’ve noticed it with mine too. Doesn’t bother me enough but the wife doesn’t like it.
I have this on 2024 Denali with 9k miles on it. I am going to have it looked at during next oil change. Only lasts a few seconds and usually after it has been sitting.

The moldy smell can be caused by leaving the AC coils moist when you shut off the car.
To help prevent this, turn off the AC shortly before you get to your destination and allow the hotter, outside air to remove most of the moisture from the coils.
This will help to not create an environment for the mold and mildew to grow.

^^ This ^^ And be sure to leave the blower on after you turn off the A/C, so the circulation dries it out. I do this a few blocks from home and never have had any problem with smell. From that, anyway. ;)

Yes, I meant to say leave the fan on but the AC off.
My mistake for not being clear.
Thanks for adding that piece of very important info.
Having the fan on blowing the hotter, outside air through will help to dry out the coils to prevent the mold and mildew from growing.
