actuator conversion?

is there a way i can convert the 4wd actuator from gas to electric?

from what i have read an electric version is available as a normal replacement. pop out the old and pop in the new.

when mine went out last winter, I looked into the motor actuated one. I was told it had as many issues as the original wax pellet one. and was advised to stick with the original. anybody else have any experience with these?

yeah the gas is heated up and exptends the piston in to the differential and sometimes there is a problem with the heating element and doesnt warm up the gas so it doesnt expand...
