For starters the shape ... they aren't designed for the same thing. It's like asking what's the difference between lemons and limes.

Add-a-leafs are designed to increase towing capacity due to aged springs. They are not meant to add lift, though that is a side effect in some applications.

Blocks are purely meant to add lift, you will not increase your towing capacity, only your e-***** ...

Add-a-leafs will add lift, that is actually one of their main purposes along with creating a stiffer spring pack which aids in your towing ability...

Ik the shape is different. I know a block is a block amd the springs are just extra leaf springs bolted on top of the originals. I should have beenore specific. I meant like ride quality and pros and cons

If you get the ones that bolt on the top of the spring pack you won't get any lift at all, if it's on the bottom you will get the thickness of the leaf in lift.

Add-a-leafs tend to be a little harsher since they increase towing capacity and the only way to do that is stiffen the rear suspension.
