Spent all day Saturday stripping out the front half of my Tahoe. It's been years since I've done any modding so I had a blast. Removed seats, lower dash, trim panels, etc. Cleaned everything with a magic eraser. Soaked the floor mats, and WOW those things were dirty. Used a portable steam vac to clean the carpet, helped a little but I still have stains that I have to figure out how to remove. I did all this so I could install a 2004 Escalade center console.

My interior was the grey/tan two tone so I swapped out the knee panel and glove box from the Escalade also. Since I was going from an 02 to 04 interior I did have to swap out the glove box to rid of the factory ash tray and 12v ports. Goal this week is to extend the 12v acc wiring to hook up the escaldes ports. Also, I'm going to wire up the clock. Trying to figure out the bulb sizes for the clock so I can color match it with my gauges. Oh, and also I replaced my LED's in the gauge cluster. I had a few that went bad a few years back. On to the pics!

...Nah, I'm not going to worry about the rear controls. Never really had an excuse to use the factory one that was in it. I'm going to redo the seats in a few months and this time I'm going to remove the TV's. As I get older the truck looks more and more gaudy.

...The weird part was the floor mats didn't even look all that dirty.

...I removed the harness, sub, and the amp from the new console and shoved the old rear controls where the sub was. I left it hooked up because if you remove it the rear speakers don't work. I'll have to find a way to bypass that. I also have to get an 03+ bezel since the new console is for the double din radio which makes the bezel sit lower. Thinking about an Escalade dash cover and removing the Cadillac name that's on the passenger side. I believe it will line up with the 03 Silverado front end when I do that conversion.

Yes. It just doesn't have the flip out pad like the 2002.

Looks good I was thinking about swapping the console out but bezel that went with it was damaged and I didn't want to have two different color woods. Great job.

I've always loved the Escalade and the Denali center consoles. Looks great!
